Of course, it’s a widely known fact that Kung Fu was much more than a fun hobby for Bruce Lee. To him, martial arts formed a lifestyle, an attitude, a philosophy. Part of this philosophy was his famous quote “Be water, my friend”. What Lee meant by that has a lot to do with the teachings of his masters and idols. To put it simply, it’s about being flexible and flowing, physically as well as mentally, instead of using brute force. Maybe this philosophy is what led the Kung Fu legend to create his famously fast and dextrous fighting style.
