Who hasn't experienced it: Highly motivated, you buy a small pot of basil in the supermarket and are sure that this time you will keep it alive for a long time. Two weeks later, the procedure repeats itself after the tragic death of the little plant.
With the Easy Hydroponics Kit
you can simply grow your favourite kitchen herbs yourself from seeds. Thanks to the practical water level indicator, you can always see when you need to water again. So there's hardly any chance that you'll kill any of your herbs.
"Hydroponic" means that the plants can be grown without soil and in a very space-saving way. This has many advantages, especially nowadays: On the one hand, it is possible to achieve an extremely high amount of food in a small space, and on the other hand, one is neither dependent on nutrient-rich soil nor on large amounts of water. Because although hydroponically grown plants of course also need water to survive, their fluid intake is much more efficient in these systems, so that up to 90 % can be saved. And even on the moon or Mars, vegetables could be grown in this way as the NASA is already researching.
In this set you get everything you need for hydroponic growing
! In the tin can, which also has the instructions printed on it, you put the fertiliser, which provides all the nutrients your plant needs to grow. The most important part is the sieve insert with water level indicator. It was made with the help of a 3D printer and is either orange or red. You fill it with the substrate and seeds. Then you place it in the tin can and pour in the water. Now you just wait and soon you'll have your own little herb garden.
With these sets you can choose between basil, oregano, mint or chilli
, but of course you can also grow other herbs of your choice that are suitable for hydroponics.
