If you leave the EU or the Schengen area, you generally always have to take a valid passport with you, as the German ID card, for example, is not accepted as an identification document in most countries. But what exactly is RFID protection? RFID stands for radio-frequency identification, i.e. identification using electromagnetic waves. You can use this technology to log in to a digital time clock, for example, or open your locker at the gym - wirelessly and automatically!
