Our Fair Geekwear promise

All of our designs bearing the Fair Geek Wear logo are printed on shirts made from fairly traded organic cotton and under fair working conditions.

This means that you are doing something good for the environment, the cotton farmers and the factory workers (spinners, weavers, seamstresses) and their families as well as for yourself. :)

• The T-shirts are made from 100% organic cotton produced in Asia and certified to OEKOTEX Standard 100.
• This label stands for the fact that all components of the T-shirt - fabric, prints, sewing thread, zippers, etc. - have been tested for an extensive list of potentially harmful chemicals and comply with limit values that exceed legal requirements. The textiles have therefore been tested for harmful substances and are skin-friendly.

• No child labor: There are stricter controls to ensure that no children work in the factories.
• Fair working conditions: Every worker is paid a minimum wage that is high enough to cover a family's living costs without the children having to earn too. The maximum working time per day is eight hours with a maximum of 6 working days per week.
• Fair social benefits: Every worker is entitled to pension payments, social insurance, continued payment of wages and severance payments.
  Of course, safety and hygiene are also guaranteed in the workplace, e.g. chemicals that are harmful to workers are prohibited.
