The wild story of the Studio Ghibli movie “Laputa: Castle in the Sky” begins with the miraculous encounter between Sheeta, the mysterious girl with the magical amulet, and Pazu, the worker with a heart of gold. Not only are the two characters meeting here for the first time, it’s also the vastly different themes of the movie coming together here: Sheeta, falling from the sky, brings a sense of wonder, magic and fantasy into the life of the miner Pazu, who is very interested in technology.
