Japanese mythology and art as the basis for a video game… an ambitious idea that brought us the first version of Okami for PlayStation 2. Not only because of its setting in ancient Nippon and the references to multiple Japanese folk tales and legends but first, and foremost, due to its graphics Okami was special. It was made to look like classical Japanese painting!

The Okami Mug “Amaterasu” depicts this extraordinary style in detail. In the official Okami logo on one side, and on the other side in the image of your player character, is the sun goddess Amaterasu, shrouded in legend and in the shape of a white wolf.
Don’t give the demon Orochi a chance! At coffee and/or tea time, connect to the spirit of Amaterasu and let yourself be guided by her.
