Have you ever wondered why the small monsters from Pokémon, Digimon and similar series allow their trainers to exploit them in dangerous arena battles? The first thing that comes to mind is some form of coercion or dependency – because the only other explanation would be that the small guys actually enjoy getting beaten, burned and electrocuted.

Judging by the Voices Told me to Burn Things T-Shirt, this theory might be true. After all, the small lizard that’s caressing its burning tail with a slightly deranged expression clearly states that voices told it to burn things. This might explain why the dragon-like creature gets back into the ring over and over again, only to get bruised and beaten. Some fight for honour, some fight for glory – and some are just special. ;)
